solving problems in a human centred way

Throughout my time at EY, I'd been given many opportunities to apply a human-centred approach across a myriad of projects that may not, at first, seem to benefit from applying a human-centred lens.

Below are a few examples of where I've done this outside implementation projects.

design thinking facilitation with clients on a microsoft surface hub

1. Experience Designer - EY wavespace

EY wavespace facilitates interactive and impactful virtual, blended, and face-to-face workshops ranging from 10 to 50 participants between EY project teams (across many different industries) and their clients. EY wavespace sessions encourage blue sky thinking to generate meaningful outcomes, equipping people with more thoughtful & deeper ways of solving for their clients' needs.

My main responsibility was to:

  • Design and produce digital content and branded materials that support interactive sessions

  • Help design and facilitate interactive and impactful virtual, blended, and face-to-face workshops

Some noteable clients: AGNSW, CBA, Service NSW, Westpac

Programs & Technology: Microsoft 55" Surface Hubs; Mural; Adobe Creative Cloud Suite; VR technology; Bene's IDEA Wall.

P-8 Poseidon Simulator

2. Experience Designer - Australian Government Defence body

This project required user experience (UX) expertise to effectively advocate and communicate key end-user needs to stakeholders.

My main responsibility was to:

  • Help curate and facilitate UX workshops across 3 days - the agenda included reviewing current solutions and ensuring that key end user needs were identified and addressed moving forward

  • Conduct a UX assessment of the current and potential solutions against Nielsen's 10 usability heuristic principles
